A marketing and advertising veteran, Michael began his career with American Hawaii Cruises leading promotions and marketing efforts before joining the dotcom gold rush in the 1990s. As the first creative director at Time Inc. New Media, he helped build the first web sites for People Magazine, Time, Sports Illustrated, and many other titles. Numerous roles at several doomed enterprises followed.
Michael pivoted back to hospitality in 2005 as AVP of Marketing at MGM Grand, where he guided the launch of the resort’s Webby award-winning website and launched the first nongaming customer loyalty program. He has held marketing leadership positions at Edelman PR in Chicago, Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, and Wind Creek Hospitality in Atmore, Alabama. Recently, Michael served as a marketing advisor to the Amaala resort project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Michael studied fine arts at the University of Hawaii and earned his B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of South Alabama.
