Martin St. John

Martin St John is a Hospitality veteran with 30+ years of extensive experience with major hotel operators in the USA and Canada. Martin began working in the hospitality industry during his formative years in his hometown of Cape May, NJ, working through various roles in the hospitality and food service industries. After a successful start in Cape May, he followed his career path and became a full-service GM at the Sheraton Hotel in Atlantic City at age twenty-five. He then moved to Philadelphia at age twenty-seven to take on a new role as a GM for GF Management. After leading his Philadelphia property to an award-winning asset within InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), Martin joined IHG corporate. He served his first ten years with IHG as a Senior Area Manager servicing hotels across the USA and Canada. After his successful tenure within IHG’s franchise community, he returned to hotel operations in 2010, serving as a VP of Operations for IHG’s company-managed estate. After nearly 17 years with IHG, Martin accepted a role as VP of Operations for Crestline Hotels in Fairfax, VA, where he worked for the following two years. During his tenure, Martin was responsible for owner relations, asset preservation, operations, and financial performance of a portfolio of full-service Hilton, Marriott & IHG branded hotels representing $187M in top-line revenues. He provided daily oversight to multiple full-service hotels, including the following: Hilton Checkers - Downtown LA, Embassy, Suites - Downtown Chicago, Embassy Suites - Orlando I-Drive, Hilton Singer Island - Palm Beach, the Marriott Fisherman’s Wharf San Francisco, Courtyard Anaheim, & IHG Hotels in New York Metro and Charleston, SC. Upon his departure from Crestline in 2016, Martin joined Aimbridge Hospitality as VP of Operations, where he supported daily operations for a portfolio of twenty REIT-owned assets across the US. In 2022, Martin joined NDM Hospitality as Managing Director of a private beach community in the Jacksonville metropolitan before being promoted to Corporate Vice President of Operations in Kissimmee, FL. Martin attended Stockton State College in Pomona, NJ, and later received his Master’s in Hospitality Administration from Cornell University’s School of Hospitality Administration certificate program. When not working in Kissimmee, Martin enjoys spending free time on the beach with his wife, Michele, and son Brighton at his St. Augustine, FL home.
